SMAC STAFF

Tucker Neale, Executive Director - Tucker has led both a distinguished playing and coaching career.  He attended Strongsville High School where he led his 23-2 team to regionals while garnering 1st team All-Ohio honors.  He still holds numerous school records, 44 points in a game, 537 points in a season.  He then was an AAU All-American in the summer of 1990.  He attended Colgate University and led Colgate to the NCAA Tournament in 1995, the first time in the school's 96-year history and was twice named Conference Player of the Year.  Tucker is the All-Time leading scorer at Colgate (2,075 points.)  He holds 9 other school records and has since had his #20 jersey retired.  He then as invited to the Boston Celtics camp in 1995, the year of the NBA lockout.  Instead, Tucker opted to play in Germany in the Bundesliga where he averaged 30 points per game and was player of the year.  In 1996, he tried out with the Cleveland Cavaliers and was cut in the final round.  He then started TFN Camps & Clinics.  His NBA clientele now includes Calvin Booth (Washington Wizards), Keith McLeod (Utah Jazz), Cezary Trybanski (Phoenix Suns), and Andreas Grinieadakis (Detroit Pistons).  He has worked with Paul Grant (Milwaukee Bucks) and Adonal Foyle (Golden State Warriors).  His workouts have been viewed by the General Managers and Player Personnel Directors of 14 NBA teams. He has over 50 players currently in college whether from his lessons or thru SMAC.  As the Executive Director, he has been a part of growing SMAC to 55 teams and over 600 participants.  

Carlos Shea-Ron, Girls Director - Graduated from Glenville High School .  Attended Baldwin-Wallace College where he assisted the men's basketball team for 3 years.  He was a volunteer assistant men's coach at Lakeland Community College for 2 years.  He also coached 7th grade girls at Albion Middle School .  He is the Girls' SMAC Director and also the director of the Midwest Lady Hoops Girls Events Service.  His teams have participated twice in the U-15 and U-16 AAU National Championships.  He has coached with SMAC for 9 years. 

Doni Moody, Boys Director - Graduated from Elyria HS where he played Varsity basketball for 3 years and was a member of their Conference Championship team.  Was an assistant Varsity Boy's basketball coach at Elyria for 2 years and also at Westlake HS.  He is the Boys Director of SMAC.  His 11th grade team won the 2006 USSSA National Championship in Fort Wayne , Indiana .  Co-Directed the East Cleveland Cavaliers Basketball team for juvenile kids in the East Cleveland area.  He has coached with SMAC for 11 years.

5th Grade

Beth Kilbane - Played high school basketball at Avon Lake HS for years.  As a player, participated in SMAC for 5 years.  Has coached with SMAC for 5 years.  
 
Jim Koelliker - Has coached CYO for 9 years.  Director and coordinator for CYO summer camps and clinics the last 5 years.  Has coached SMAC for 2 years. 
 
Jeremy Metheney - Has coached AAU basketball for the past 16 years.  Coached JV at Canton Central Catholic High School for two years. Coached JV at Massillon Washington High School for one year.  Has coached 5-Star basketball camps in Pennsylvania and Virginia.  Currently, is the Youth Director (grades k - 6) at Massillon Jackson.  Assists the JV and Varsity programs at Massillon Jackson High School  
 
8th Grade

Megan Glavic - Played at West Geauga High School for 4 years.  Assistant coach at West Geauga HS.  Has coached SMAC for 2 years.
 
Melissa Randolph - Played Varsity at Berea High School for 4 years.  Ran track collegiately at Walsh University.  Has coached SMAC for 2 years.
 
Brandon Stewart -  Freshman coach at Midpark High School.  Has coached the Brook Park Recreation basketball teams for 11 years.  Graduated from Midpark High School.

Dan Brown - Currently in his first season as the head JV boys coach at Copley. Spent the previous two seasons as JV coach at Cloverleaf, winning a school-record 14 games in 2007-08. Prior to that, Brown was a coach at Buckeye for five years -- two as JV boys coach, one as JV girls coach and the first two seasons coaching at the middle school level.  Brown will be entering his tenth season as an AAU coach, ninth with SMAC.
 
Debbie Barb - Head JV coach at Midpark High School .  Previously, coached JV at John Marshall High School (2007 - 08).  Also, coordinated summer camps and leagues at John Marshall High School.  Graduated from Brunswick High School .  Has coached SMAC for 2 years.
 
Ryan Peabody - graduated from Parma High School and Mount Union College . Has coached Parma Freshman girls teams and Cuyahoga Heights Junior Varsity boys teams for three years. Has coached with SMAC for 8 years.

Jen Arnold - Lettered in Varsity basketball all four years at Nordonia High School .  Holds the record for most career points in school history. Was named MVP her Junior and Senior seasons. Played at the University of Akron for four years.  Coached JV softball at Nordonia in 2006. Also head coached the JV team and was Varsity assistant coach at Beaumont for the 2006-2007 season.  Currently, is the Varsity assistant coach at Highland High School for the 2007-08 season.  Has coached SMAC for 3 years.

Mike Broadwater - Has 13 years coaching experience as a Junior Varsity and Varsity coach at North Royalton HS. Has worked many camps in North Royalton and at St. Edward HS, Notre Dame Cathedral Latin and Cleveland Cuyahoga Community College . For the past 5 years, he has coached at St. Bart’s and ran his own Lady Pirate basketball camps.  Has coached 7 years of AAU basketball including SMAC.

Brad Downs - He coached three years of Eight Grade Boys at Willets Middle School (Brunswick).  He's coached one year of Freshman Boys (Brunswick High School).  He's coached four years of JV Boys at Brunswick High School.  He was the Girls Varsity Assistant at Brunswick High School for two years.  Currently, he's in his third year as the Varsity Boys Assistant at Berea High School.  He has thirteen years of High School Basketball Coaching Experience in Ohio.  He's coached with SMAC for 5 years.

Lenny Koncz - Summer coach for Strongsville High School last 4 years. Has been coaching for SMAC program 6 years.  Was instrumental in the development of his son Kyle Koncz's jump shot. Kyle graduated from Princeton as the school's leading 3-pt shooter in history.

Dan Bingelli4 year varsity letterman at Olmsted Falls High School. Conference MVP in Junior and Senior years. Was 3rd team all state senior year. Played college ball at West Liberty Univ where he holds all time assist and steals record. He holds record for most 3 pointers in one game. (10)

Mark ValentinoMark is a 1998 graduate of West Branch High School and 2002 Graduate of Ashland University (Masters at BW).  His experience in coaching includes 7th Grade boys coach Claggett Middle School, 8th Grade boys coach Root Middle School, SMAC 9th Grade Coach for 3 years, and Freshman Boys Coach for Medina High School.
 
Shawn NixonCoach Nixon played High School basketball at Southview High School in Lorain, Ohio. There he was honorable mention All State as a senior. Shawn then went on to play college basketball at Baldwin College and the University of Toledo. He is currently the freshmen coach at Southview.

Tom Link - Tom has 30 years experience at the high school level including Freshmen and JV at St. Edwards, Head girls coach at Lumen Cordium, Magnificat, Lakewood, and Padua.  Has recorded over 300 wins as a head coach.

Nick Lapsevich - Currently the Freshman Head Basketball Coach for North Royalton High School  Was 4 year Varsity Assistant Coach for North Royalton High School.  Averaged 21 points and 5 assists as a Senior at Brunswick High School and holds the single season scoring record there.  Was Conference MVP and All Ohio selection.  Played College baseball and basketball.

8th Grade  
Mark MunsellCoach Munsell brings over 20 years of experience coaching boys travel teams and AAU programs compiling over 500 wins and 26 either league or tournament championships. He predominately has coached for the Orange , Ohio School District basketball program but has distinguished himself as the coach of the Cleveland Titans, one of the première Northeast Ohio AAU teams. In 2007, his Titans travelled to Clarksville , Tennessee and won the boys 16u National Championship. He joins the SMAC program for the second time in his coaching career having coached his Mitchell who currently plays for the Orange High School varsity team, when he played for the SMAC in his 7th grade season.
 
Randall Turner Sr. graduated from St. Peter Chanel High School where he played varsity basketball.  He brings over seven years of coaching experience which includes both boys and girls travel teams as well as AAU programs. His coaching experience has predominately been with the Orange School District .  He has been an assistant coach for SMAC for one year.

Robert TaylorGraduated from Berea High in 2000 and played for the State Championship St. Peter Chanel team in 1999. Played 3 years at Ashland University and then transferred to Edinboro Univ. After college  received a contract to play for the Ohio Aviators in the American Basketball Association. Former Assitant Coach at Max Hayes High School.

Rob Matusik - Rob is currently the Freshman Boys Basketball coach at Streetsboro High School and has also been involved in the Junior Rockets Boys Basketball Program for 4 years. He has coached at various youth levels for eights years, including two years at Streetsboro Middle School.  He is in his 6th year coaching AAU.
